jobhunt

Texas is a great place to live. And, as most people already know, Texas is a great place to find work. Right now Texas’ economy is booming. Here at Building Team Solutions we’re always seeking candidates practiced in skilled trades- such as the industrial and construction workforce. However, Texas isn’t the only place where work is booming.

If you are seeking employment make sure to follow these two tips;

1. Don’t fabricate your experience. Yahoo! just booted the company’s CEO because of a lie. A lie will always come back to haunt you. Always be upfront about what experience you do or do not have. You don’t want to find yourself seeking work shortly after your hired by a company that you lied to. Always tell the truth when applying for a job and you will not have anything to worry about.

2. Listen to feedback. It is a hard blow to our ego when we make a mistake or we didn’t get a job. Always ask for feedback and don’t get upset when someone points out your flaws. Hey, we all have them. A flaw is an opportunity to improve. Someone who gives you feedback is trying to help you become better at your job. Don’t get defensive as a result. Take the feedback in and then develop a plan to become better, especially if the feedback is related to why you didn’t get a job.

It is getting easier to find work these days. If you use the two above tips, the job search will take less time.
