Business owners have to deal with a lot. There is the economy. There is the internal financial factor (are you making a profit?), and then there is the employee factor. A recent poll stated 23% of business owners lose sleep over employment issues at least once a week.

Business owners have reported losing sleep over not being able to find the right employee, being worried about firing an employee who isn’t progressing, and/or not being able to afford the right employees.

I’m here to tell you to stop worrying. I know, it is easier said than done. That’s why I’ve composed three fool-proof tips on finding the right employees- even on a limited budget.

1. Don’t look at gaps in employment as a major issue. These days, finding work or keeping a job is hard. You want to consider competency first. Does the potential employee have the necessary skills, experiences and education to successfully complete the tasks you need performed? We can help you answer all of these questions about each and every one of our employees.

2. Is your potential employee compatible with the rest of your team? Employment culture is a big factor many business owners don’t consider when hiring a person. An employee can be skilled and experienced, but that doesn’t mean he or she will be accepted or get along with other employees. Before you hire, you need to do a little social exploring to see if the candidate is going to mesh well with your other staff.

3. Compensation. You need to be up front with your potential employee. You expect honesty from him or her. In turn, you need to be honest. If a candidate requires a 45k salary per year and you can only afford 38k- tell him or her up front. Explain your concerns about the dip in salary if the job is offered and also notate all the other perks your company can offer.

Finding the right employee is easier than you think. Don’t lose any more nights to worry. We can help you build your employee dream team.
