As a CEO, I am constantly growing. I learn new things, willing or not, on a daily basis. My goal is to help people find jobs that will last more than a year or so. I also try to help my business clientele find employees that are reliable and willing to work. The construction industry quickly became stale in 2008. The economy came to a stand-still and many jobs were lost, including administrative positions at construction companies.

While some business owners and executives decided to ride the rough waves, others decided to bail on the industry and seek-out other positions. While there wasn’t a right or wrong response to the industry’s downturn, there was always room for growth. I’m a firm believe in our ability as people to continuously evolve.  When the construction industry hit the bubble, people willing to learn and grow stuck with it. Now, the industry is growing fast again. Lesson were learned and as construction jobs continue to grow- so do the company decision makers.

ConstructionCitizen.com recently said, “Construction is a large and complex worldwide industry constantly shaped by new information technologies, advanced materials, environmental policies, regulations and changing building methods. Most importantly, though, construction is shaped by people. Sustaining a strong industry requires attracting and valuing a skilled, career-driven, high quality workforce… who also like to build!”

We are renewing the construction workforce but we are renewing opportunities within people’s lives.  I always wanted Building Team Solutions to be part of something bigger and more than just a job. As myself and other business owners continue to grow with the industry- we do so as wiser, more compassionate and realistic people. We are preparing for the worst now and continuing to be thankful the best.  I’m proud to say that my company is helping to rebuild the industry one employee to employer connection at a time.
