You need a job and you need one fast. There are tons of resources online. But where do you start? You know to dress well. You know the importance of great references and an even better resume. So, what are you missing? Let us help you with these three simple tips for finding a job – and finding it fast!

#1. Where have you not looked? If you have been looking for a job for over 20 days and haven’t had one hit on your resume- change how you are seeking out employment. If you are using one website, go with another. If your resume has been handed out time and time again – yet you still have no leads, change the resume. Perhaps you have looked in the newspaper every single day in your area and have come up short. Get the paper for the next town (maybe even state) over. Change where you are looking and you might increase the odds.

#2. Work for free. Yes, work for free. If you are looking to prove yourself to a company- offer to do so. This may not be too practical with construction jobs, but it works for administrative and marketing jobs. If you want a company to show you the money then you have to show them the numbers!

#3. Head back to school. Yes, you can always use more training. Even if you don’t think you need it, your resume might. Employers love employees who show initiative. You may have been a Carpenter for twenty years, but try a refresher course. This will amplify your resume and show employers that you are ahead of the game when it comes to seeking out long-term employment.

There is no rule book that says finding a job is easy. In fact, it can be tough. Our company helps place qualified employees with solid employees daily. We provide training, too. |
